It was only yesterday that we reported about ultrasn0w 1.2.1 iOS 4.3.1 unlock release, now the iPhone Dev Team has finally released ultrasn0w 1.2.1 to unlock iOS 4.3.1 on jailbroken iPhone 4, 3GS on baseband 01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00.

The iPhone Dev Team says:

We’ve pushed out the 4.3.1 compatibility fix for ultrasn0w in Cydia â€" it’s now at version 1.2.1.  If you’re not already at 4.3.1 and you need the unlock,please be sure you understand how to get to 4.3.1 using a custom IPSW that doesn’t update your baseband.

This isn’t a new unlock! It’s to allow those who are already unlocked to use FW 4.3.1.  It also fixes the signal bar issue for those who aren’t using the unlock but retain an older baseband intentionally.

AFTER INSTALLING ULTRASN0W 1.2.1, PLEASE REBOOT YOUR iPHONE using the normal “slide to power off” swipe.  T-Mobile users in the USA also should disable 3G mode in Settings->General->Network.

Remember:

• Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 will unlock basebands 01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00
• Ultrasn0w will not unlock basebands 02.10.04, 03.10.01, 04.10.01, 05.14.02, 05.15.04
• You may lose your GPS if you upgrade your iPhone 3GS baseband, for unlock, to 06.15.00 iPad baseband hack

Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 iOS 4.3.1 unlock for iPhone 3GS requires that your iPhone 3GS is jailbroken with 6.15.00 baseband

Step 1:

Once you’re done with the jailbreak, and want to unlock your iPhone 4, 3GS on the above mentioned basebands, head over to Cydia to download Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 Here’s what you need to do:

• Fire up Cydia on your iPhone
• Tap the Manage tab at the bottom
• Now tap Sources

Then, tap on Edit followed by Add. Cydia will now prompt you to add a URL source.  If you haven’t already added this, type in http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and tap Add Source to add this repository.

Cydia will now update your sources following a series of automated steps.

Once the installation finishes, search Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 in Cydia and install the application. Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 will automatically unlock your iPhone 4, 3GS, on the above mentioned supported basebands, to work on any carrier.

Step 3:

All you need to do now is to restart your iPhone. Once done, your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS will now be unlocked on iOS 4.3.1.
