Apple Mac OSX Update coming to help with Mac Defender Malware

Apple has just put out a How-To about Mac Defender Malware that has been spreading like wildfire through the Mac OSX community. They have suggested in their article that they will be releasing an update in the coming days to help with the Malware. This is quoted from their article:

In the coming days, Apple will deliver a Mac OS X software update that will automatically find and remove Mac Defender malware and its known variants.  The update will also help protect users by providing an explicit warning if they download this malware.

Apple has also been very gracious in providing steps on how to avoid the Malware and to remove it if you were so unlucky to get it. We have been reporting that Apple had been refusing to help users, even submitting a letter to all tech support personnel to not assist customers with this Malware. I wonder what changed their minds?

If you are a Mac user, look out for a 10.6.8 update coming your way in the next couple of days.
