Apple Walking Away From New Grand Central Terminal Apple Store?

Previously, we had heard rumours that Apple was planning on building its new high-tech shrine of gadgets (read: Apple Store), at Grand Central Terminal in New York. The rumours were confirmed, however now it seems like Apple is backing out of plans to build an Apple Store at Grand Central Terminal.

The size of the store was said to be phenomenal, almost too good to be true. Since the very start, I was skeptic about this project, considering the purported dimensions, 16,000 square-foot to be exact, and M.T.A.’s strict guidelines.

Now, a report says that Apple that the rumours were too good to be true and that Apple is backing away from the Grand Central Terminal Apple Store project. Citing a source close to the M.T.A, the report says that Apple was in early negotiations but before anything could be finalized, the two parties involved, Apple and M.T.A, had a fall out.

Newmark Knight Frank top broker Jeffrey Roseman adds:

Lets see if Apple NOT coming to Grand Central gets as much press as it got, when the rumor started

So it seems like a Grand Central Terminal Apple Store shall never materialize. Imagine the huge amount of visitors that throng Grand Central Terminal each day, visiting the Apple Store there daily. What a sight that would have been. The Grand Central Terminal Apple Store was going to be the largest Apple Retail Store.
