Apple CEO Steve Jobs Is Still Calling All The Shots At Apple From Home

The world knows that Apple CEO Steve Jobs has taken a medical leave of absence from the company, in order to focus on his health. However, that does not entail that he has left his top slot of CEO at the company, and regarding that WSJ is reporting that despite Steve Jobs’s medical leave of absence, he is still making most of the major decisions, or rather calling the shots from the comfort of his home.


As ever, citing “people familiar with the matter” the WSJ reports:

The 55-year-old Mr. Jobs, whose ailment hasn’t been disclosed, has been taking business meetings at home and on the phone, these people said.

He also has been seen on Apple’s Cupertino, Calif., campus and in public in Palo Alto, Calif., with a company executive, said people familiar with the matter.

According to reports, Mr. Jobs is working on the next iteration of the iPad and a new iPhone that is expected to be released this summer. A previous report also suggest that Apple have already have started production of the iPad 2.

An Apple spokeswoman said:

Steve is the CEO of Apple and during his medical leave he’ll continue to be involved in major strategic decisions

As yet, there is no official word when Steve Jobs will return from his medical leave, however, it seems like he would definitely return to take the stage, when the time comes to launch the next generation Apple devices.
