PTCL launches EVO Recharge and Win Extravaganza

PTCL has introduced another great offer to its EVO customers. The offer is for those customers who have not recharged their pre-paid device or paid their EVO post bill since December 1, 2011 or before. These customers can get their accounts recharged and will get cut-offs from their bills. They also have an excellent chance of wining a brand new EVO Tab, Cloud or Nitro device via a lucky draw to be held on February 15, 2012. Teachers favor ban on mobile phone usage

The teachers of the Punjab province have lauded the action taken by Punjab Assembly banning the use of mobile phones in schools and colleges. The very common justification by parents of giving mobile phones to their children was to keep in contact with them in this uncertain law and order situation of the country. However, the administration of several schools claimed that it is their duty to keep the parents informed about their children in such situations. The teachers have said that mobile phones were distracting the students from their studies as the students used to bunk the classes and listen to music and send SMSs. Pakistan was ranked 9th among 222 in 2008 for the highest usage of cell phones by the CIA World Factbook 2009 and the use of mobile phones in increasing day by day.

 

Ultra-thin ultrabook :Acer Aspire S5

Acer has launched its new ultra book named Aspire S5. It is the world’s thinnest ultra book since it just measures 15 mm which is about three-fifth of an inch and weighs of 1.35 kg. The device has been introduced with a sturdy magnesium-aluminum alloy cover and a delicate curved chassis. The new ultra book is powered with an Intel Core processor, SSD storage and a PowerSmart battery pack. It also has a “magical I/O port panel” which, when opened with a touch, shows HDMI, USB 3.0, and Thunderbolt ports. Aspire S5 comes up with Acer Green Instant On and Acer Always Connect technology which is very effective in data management.

 

TalkShawk Poora Pakistan Offer

Telenor Pakistan has come up with an exciting offer to surpass the LBC offers of other cellular operators. According to the new offer, the subscribers will be able to make free unlimited calls, to all on-net Pakistan numbers up to 10 February 2012. The Telenor 24 Hours Package will enable the customers to call at flat daily charges of Rs. 7 plus tax for 21 hours i.e. from 9 p.m. to next day 6 p.m. This means that the offer will not be available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On the other hand, SMS can be sent for Rs. 1 and MMS for Rs. 5.
