AnySend Lets You Share Files Over Wi-Fi Between Android Devices â Download Now!
by GadgetGizmodo
Whilst sharing files between Android devices is nowhere near as tedious as Apple appears to be making it for iOS users, that doesnât mean to say apps facilitating and promoting file sharing between smartphones and tablets are not welcome. Despite the stance of the vendors, consumers love apps which aid easy miscellaneous file transfer between devices, and AnySend is a wonderful example of how such a utility should look, behave and perform.
It has a clean, minimalistic interface â" which is a giveaway sign of any decent app, and due to its ease of use, thereâs no need to spend an age tailoring the app before it can be used. Providing two devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi hotspot, AnySend will allow you to quickly and easily send and receive files wirelessly â" with very little hassle along the way.
Once AnySend is installed on the two devices in question, it automatically begins detecting and linking, and within seconds, the file transfer process can begin. It can be left running in the background, so if someone within your Wi-Fi vicinity is trying to push a file or two through to you, you will be alerted though status bar notification.
If youâre a power "file-transferrer," you can set AnySend to automatically receive files from white-listed devices, which is not only a great time-saver, but means you neednât get involved if the files are arriving from trusted sources.
There are plenty of apps similar to AnySend over at the Play Store, but none boast the violent simplicity found here, and once youâve set your custom name and profile picture of your device within the settings menu, youâre good to go.
I get the impression that if AnySend was compatible with iOS as well, it would be a killer app, and bringing cross-platform implementation is certainly, in my opinion, something the developers should consider. Still, it does a great job at present, and if it also supported batch sharing, it would be the complete package.
Itâs free to download from the Google Play Store, and if youâre always in a position whereby you need to quickly share a photo, video, document or whatever between your Android devices, then below is certainly a link youâll want to be pressing.
