Apple CEO Tim Cook Sends Email To Apple Employees: Apple Will Not Change
by GadgetGizmodo
You probably know by now that Appleâs co-founder Steve Jobs has stepped down from his position as CEO. To take his place, Steve Jobs recommended Tim Cook to be the next Chief Executive Officer of the company.
According to a new report by Ars Technica, Apple new CEO has emailed Apple employees that Apple will not change; it will be known as it is today. He also said that it was his privilege of a lifetime to be appointed the CEO. Hereâs the full email:
Team:
I am looking forward to the amazing opportunity of serving as CEO of the most innovative company in the world. Joining Apple was the best decision Iâve ever made and itâs been the privilege of a lifetime to work for Apple and Steve for over 13 years. I share Steveâs optimism for Appleâs bright future.
Steve has been an incredible leader and mentor to me, as well as to the entire executive team and our amazing employees. We are really looking forward to Steveâs ongoing guidance and inspiration as our Chairman.
I want you to be confident that Apple is not going to change. I cherish and celebrate Appleâs unique principles and values. Steve built a company and culture that is unlike any other in the world and we are going to stay true to thatâ"it is in our DNA. We are going to continue to make the best products in the world that delight our customers and make our employees incredibly proud of what they do.
I love Apple and I am looking forward to diving into my new role. All of the incredible support from the Board, the executive team and many of you has been inspiring. I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to make Apple the magical place that it is.
Tim
Many of us know Tim Cook, and we know that he has directed the company day-to-day before. For instance, when Steve Jobs went on medical leave he asked Tim Cook to take his position for that time.
We at iTD also believe that Steve Jobs resigning from the company wouldnât hurt too much. One of the things we can be sure about now, is the lower priced iPhone coming to life, as Tim Cook was the one saying they donât want the iPhone to be âjust for the richâ.
